Website privacy
Updated October 10, 2026. This notice covers the public Optiview contact form, Website Preview, Ask Optiview assistant, support requests and the legacy readability audit.
What we collect
Contact forms collect your work email and organization. Private-beta requests also collect team type. Earlier contact forms collected an optional message or website platform; previously submitted requests may include that information. We also record the submission time. To limit abuse, our application temporarily stores a one-way hash derived from the request’s IP address; the beta request database does not store the raw IP address.
How we use it
We use these details to respond to your inquiry, arrange private-beta access or discuss an integration. New requests generate an internal email alert to hello@optiview.ai; the saved request remains available even if email delivery fails. Submitting the form does not create an account, start a subscription, or grant access to your website.
Storage and retention
Requests are stored on Cloudflare infrastructure and are available only to authorized administrators of Optiview’s own operator workspace. Contact requests are retained for up to 180 days unless removed sooner. Application rate-limit records are deleted within two days. Cloudflare may separately process network and security information to provide its services.
Your choices
Submission is optional. Do not include secrets, credentials, or sensitive personal information in the form. You can contact hello@optiview.ai, or reply to a message from us, to request correction or deletion of your contact request or to decline further contact.
Public readability audit
The audit fetches the public HTTPS URL you submit without using your browser cookies or credentials. Our application does not store the fetched page or the report. To limit abuse, it temporarily stores salted IP hashes, hostname hashes, and request counts for up to three days. Infrastructure logs may separately record request metadata. If you load the optional browser preview, your browser contacts the target website directly, and that site’s privacy practices apply.
Website content preview
The public preview makes anonymous HTTPS requests and follows up to three validated redirects. Optional browser rendering runs in an isolated browser with a ten-second limit and same-origin resource restrictions. It can inspect responses that set cookies or use cache restrictions without storing or forwarding those cookies, and does not cache the fetched page or result. URL validation rejects credential-bearing addresses, and DNS checks reject hostnames that resolve to private-network addresses. It sends up to 2,000 characters of extracted readable page text to Cloudflare Workers AI to generate illustrative schema and FAQ examples. Our application does not save the extracted page text or generated example, or add either to a client draft. On eligible verified previews, a separate sourced suggestion may also inspect one exact same-origin linked page, with one isolated browser acquisition if needed. Selected evidence excerpts (up to 10,000 characters per source) are sent to Cloudflare Workers AI for drafting and a separate support check. Source scope and supporting excerpts are shown in the demo. Local edits stay in your browser; this demo does not save, approve or publish them. Generation may be inaccurate; suggestions and examples require review. Website Preview has separate hashed rate counters, retained for up to three days.
Suggestion review packages
You may explicitly download an original supported suggestion and its cited evidence as a local review package. The package expires after 15 minutes and does not grant account access or publishing permission. An authorized editor can import it into a verified website’s workspace. Imported suggestions and evidence are stored for 90 days from import; edits do not extend this period. Deleting a suggestion clears its active text and evidence, while a minimal import identity remains until expiry to prevent replay. This application retention policy does not imply immediate deletion from infrastructure backups. Downloaded copies remain under your control. Review packages are not placed in URLs, analytics or persistent browser storage.
On-demand evidence checks
An assigned editor can ask Optiview to retrieve up to two original public evidence pages using anonymous, bounded HTTPS requests. This does not use AI generation or run in the background. We retain only the latest comparison, source hashes and excerpt-presence observations until the suggestion expires or is deleted; fetched HTML and unrelated new page text are not stored. Metadata-only request receipts expire after 48 hours and are removed by retention cleanup; they enforce limits and prevent duplicate work. A check does not verify factual accuracy or change published content.
Ask Optiview and support requests
The Ask Optiview assistant provides general guidance. It cannot inspect or change your account.
When you use Ask Optiview, your question and up to two previous question-and-answer exchanges may be sent to OpenAI to generate responses using our approved public product documentation.
Previous answers are included only if they were approved and displayed in your current conversation. We do not intentionally send your account records, browser cookies, visitor IP address or account identifiers to OpenAI. However, information you enter into the chat, including personal information, may be transmitted for processing. Please do not enter passwords, confidential business information, personal records or other sensitive information.
Ask Optiview uses an OpenAI-hosted index of approved public Optiview documentation to retrieve relevant information. The assistant does not have access to your private workspace, account settings or customer data.
Conversation history is maintained temporarily in your browser’s current page memory. Optiview does not save a persistent chat transcript through this feature. Starting a new conversation clears the previous conversation context from the widget; it does not delete data already transmitted to OpenAI.
We configure OpenAI API requests not to store generated responses. This does not mean zero retention. OpenAI may retain submitted content and request metadata for abuse monitoring and other purposes described in its applicable API data policies. The public documentation index is stored separately until we delete it or the applicable storage lifecycle removes it.
Cloudflare continues to provide Optiview infrastructure and supports AI-generated suggestions in the separate Website Preview workflow.
Do not enter passwords, payment details or private customer information.
If you separately choose Contact support, the reply email and nonconfidential summary you review and consent to send are submitted to our support queue. Consent, request and account identifiers may also be recorded where applicable. Your chat transcript is not attached.
Scheduled cleanup removes support queue requests older than 30 days, except requests currently being sent. This does not necessarily cover notification emails, AI-provider records or infrastructure backups, which may have different retention periods.
An email provider accepting a notification does not confirm delivery to the recipient’s inbox.
Cookies and tracking
With your permission, the public Optiview website uses Google Analytics to understand visits and page usage. The tag loads only after you choose Allow analytics. You can change your choice using Privacy choices in the footer; declining stops future analytics collection from our tag. We store your choice locally in your browser. Google Analytics may use cookies and process device, browser and interaction information. We disable Google signals and advertising personalization in our tag. Our page-view events omit URL query strings and fragments, and we do not send form entries, submitted demo URLs or generated answers as event parameters. Analytics is not installed in the private dashboard. You can also clear existing analytics cookies through your browser settings. The private dashboard has separate authentication cookies used when you sign in.
